OPES International is a petroleum engineering consulting company based in Perth, Australia. We work with a broad international spectrum of clients ranging from non-operators to major oil companies. A long history of successful projects is testament to the depth of experience and innovative technologies and demonstrates our ability in adapting to a changing world. Our services have expanded from conventional to unconventional resources and more recently to Green House Gas (GHG) emissions, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), decarbonisation and renewable energy. OPES’ core business is the result of diligent adherence to the science and latest proven technology related to oil & gas including its emissions and sequestration. Good engineering practice demands that each study be designed to meet three criteria: safety; operability; and economics. In almost all cases, the OPES approach minimises both cost and time, whilst optimising the product, which is supported by the consilience of each component of the study.
We are committed to assist clients in meeting their long-term objectives. In fact, for more than a decade OPES has been encouraging clients to embrace the inevitable challenge of climate change, not only as a matter of sustainability, but also as an opportunity beyond net-zero emission. We are active in the area GHG, CO2 sequestration and decarbonisation with clients, government and research institutions. In these contexts, the objectives may include quantifying carbon footprints and the preferred path to either reduction or zero GHG emissions. For this purpose, we have developed specialised technology to quantify parameters in order to compare, select, design and implement different options.
